The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act. H.R. 748) is an $2 trillion, 880-page bill that passes the U.S. Senate, 96-0.  It's still awating a House vote on Friday (3/27/2020) and the president's signature.  Provides a $1,200 direct payment to many Americans and $500 for each dependend child.  This is phased out for those making over $75,000 ($150,000 for married filing jointly) by subtracting 5% of Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) against the total credit.  (Generally, those with AGI over $99,000 for an individual and $198,000 for married couples with no dependents are ineligible.)

Expands unemployment insurance to 39 weeks (through December 31, 2020), and provides temporary "Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation" of $600 per week (through July 31, 2020), which is in addition to and the same time as regular state and federal UI benefits.
